Jera ᛃ

JeraJera; plenty/season/year

Icelandic rune poem:

Ár er gumna góði, ok gott sumar, algróinn akr.

Plenty is the boon to men, and good summer, and thriving crops.

Cycles feature strongly in Norse thinking; raidho is associated with the daily rising and setting of the sun, and jera with the sun’s cycle of seasons. Sowilo is the sun itself. Jera has parallels with the concept of karma in several religions, in that it represents the rewards for honourable past actions, as the farmer reaps the reward of good husbandry with the harvest.

There is no inversion.
